Lakeside Dining

Dining at the Water's Edge

Cedarview House offers a lakeside dining experience where the boundary between the dining room and the natural world feels almost invisible.

The Dining Philosophy

A Table Between Lake and Land

Our kitchen draws from the lake and the surrounding valley, shaping a menu that changes with the seasons and celebrates the region's finest ingredients.

We work closely with local farmers, fishers, and foragers to source ingredients at their peak. The menu is a reflection of the Okanagan's diverse terroir, from freshwater fish to orchard fruits and wild herbs. Each dish is composed with restraint, allowing the natural flavours to speak.

Seasonal Menus

The menu evolves with the seasons, offering a changing selection of dishes that capture the essence of each time of year.

Spring brings tender greens and early lake fish; summer celebrates stone fruits and garden vegetables; autumn features game and mushrooms; winter offers hearty root vegetables and preserved flavours.

A small à la carte menu is always available, complemented by a chef's tasting menu for those who wish to explore further.

The Lakeside Dining Room

Glass Walls and Open Water

The main dining room is a glass pavilion that opens to the lake, creating a seamless connection between the interior and the outdoors.

Floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the water and the surrounding hills. In warmer months, sliding glass panels open onto a lakeside terrace for al fresco dining. The interior features pale stone floors, cedar accents, and soft, warm lighting that enhances the natural materials.

A Room for Every Occasion

The dining room is designed to accommodate both intimate dinners and larger gatherings, with flexible seating arrangements.

Tables are spaced generously to ensure privacy and comfort. A private dining area is available for special events and celebrations. The room's acoustics are carefully managed to maintain a quiet, conversational atmosphere.

The Terrace

Al Fresco by the Water

During the warmer months, the lakeside terrace offers an open-air dining experience with uninterrupted views of the water.

The terrace is shaded by mature cedars and features comfortable seating with natural stone tables. A dedicated terrace menu features lighter dishes and refreshing beverages. Evenings on the terrace are illuminated by soft lantern light, creating a magical atmosphere.

Culinary Craft

From the Lake and the Valley

Our menu showcases the best of the Okanagan, with a focus on fresh, local ingredients prepared with modern technique.

Signature dishes include cedar-plank salmon, lake trout crudo, and a seasonal vegetable tasting. The kitchen uses a wood-fired oven and grill to add depth of flavour. Desserts feature orchard fruits and local honey.

A Menu in Motion

The menu changes frequently to reflect what is at its peak, ensuring every visit offers something new.

Daily specials are announced each morning based on market availability. The chef's tasting menu is a multi-course journey through the season. Vegetarian and vegan options are always available.

Wine and Beverage

A Cellar of the Valley

Our wine list celebrates the Okanagan Valley's renowned wineries, with a focus on small producers and rare vintages.

The list features over 200 labels, with a strong representation of local Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Riesling. Our sommelier is available to guide pairings with each course. A selection of craft cocktails and local beers is also offered.

Non-Alcoholic Pairings

We offer a thoughtful selection of non-alcoholic beverages, including house-made sodas, shrubs, and alcohol-free wine alternatives. These are designed to complement the menu without compromising on flavour or sophistication.

The Card Room Note

An Evening at the Table

For those who wish to extend their evening, The Card Room offers a quiet, elegant space for a few hands of poker.

The card room is open Thursday through Saturday evenings and maintains the same refined atmosphere as the dining room. It is a discreet, adults-only space with a focus on friendly play. Reservations are recommended.
